A symposium, “Domestic and International Considerations of Being Polish American or Polish in Today’s World”, led by Professor Mieczysław B. Biskupski, Ph. D., Stanislas A. Blejwas Endowed Chair of Polish and Polish American Studies, Central Connecticut State University, New Britain, CT; Jim Ogonowski, Republican Candidate for the 5th Massachusetts Congressional District, Dracut, MA; and a representative of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland, Washington, DC.

Polish Heritage Month Lecture

Ryszard Kukliński (1930 – 2004)


 

The Polish Heritage Month Lecture will be at Northeastern University, Boston, MA , Room 346 of the Curry Student Center from 10:00 a.m. to noon. The topic: “Memories of the Spy: Perspectives of Colonel Ryszard Kukliński” will be presented by Rev. Dariusz Jończyk, pastor of St. Joseph’s Parish of Central Falls, RI.

Rev. Dariusz Jończyk is a candidate for the doctor of philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in history at Northeastern University in Boston. He will become the first-ever Pole to earn a Ph.D. in history at Northeastern. The Cold War exploits of Col. Ryszard Kukliński has been the focus of his doctoral dissertation.

The October 27, 2007 lecture – sponsored and organized by the Polish American Congress of Eastern Massachusetts – is free of charge as is parking in the University’s Columbus Garage located on Columbus Avenue.
